SAT

Introduction

The abbreviation of SAT is the Scholastic Assessment Test, which is an exam administered by the College board and is taken by students seeking admission to undergraduate colleges or universities abroad, particularly in the US and Canada. SAT test will evaluate the written, verbal and mathematical skills of the candidates. 

 

REGISTRATION PROCESS:

For registering, You need to visit the official college board website. Create a student account and enter personal details as well as academics. Select a flexible test date and test centre.

Exam Pattern&Syllabus​

SAT is a 3-hour 50 minutes duration exam. It has three sections.

Math

Problem-solving, data analysis, algebra, and advanced math.

Duration: 80 minutes

Reading

Sentence Completion, Tests understanding of passages from the US and world Literature, History/Social Studies, and Sciences.

Duration: 65 minutes

Writing

Expression of ideas and standard English conventions through passages related to Careers, History/Social Studies, Humanities, and Sciences.

Duration: 35 minutes

Essay optional essay

Evaluate an argument through the analysis of evidence.

Duration: 50 minutes

 

SCORING SYSTEM:

The Total Score will be given in the sum of the two Section Scores and this score ranges from 400 to 1600. No scoring for the optional essay.
