Tuition fee:

Tuition fee varies from one University to another and this depends upon the chosen program. In Public/State Universities and private universities, tuition fee ranges from $12000 to $40,000 per annum. In Ivy League universities tuition fee ranges from $48000 to $60000.

PART TIME JOBS FOR STUDENTS

According to the American students’ visa guidelines, you are allowed to work only 20 hours a week and can work only on campus. Students can work up to 20 hours a week when classes are in session and up to 40 hours a week while the classes are not going on. It is not that difficult to find jobs on-campus at American universities. Also, these jobs are customized in such a manner that they will adhere to all the visa guidelines.

1. You can work on campus for the first academic year of your course

2. Students who are pursuing a course in STEM (Science Technology Engineering Math) fields can work under the OPT(optional Practical Training) program

  • OPT program allows you to work after completing 9 months of course module.
  • You will have to work in a field related to your course.
  • You can work for a period of 12 months after completion of course without applying for a work visa under the OPT program.

 

3. Students can opt to work under the CPT (curricular practical training) program which allows students to work in a field related to their subject either as an intern or through co-op education.
